Benjamin Moore’s Color of The Year for 2017

Benjamin Moore has selected its color of the year for 2017, and this time it’s packed with enigma and it was called the master of ambiance.

After 2016’s Simply White OC-117 the firm decided to go with a much bolder choice. The reason? “After a year of looking at white, we were looking for something with more feeling”.

Benjamin Moore’s color of 2017 is Shadow 2117-30.

According to their creative director, Ellen O’Neill “it ebbs and flows with its surroundings, and light brings it to life. Rich, royal amethyst can fade into the soft lilac-grey of distant mountains or morph into lustrous coal. Indulge your mysterious side. Let Shadow set the mood.”

It’s a very sober color, which looks stunning in any room. It can make up a very formal dining room, as well as a cozy and trendy living room, or even comfortable and eclectic bedroom.

As we can see in the photo above, the modern living room is highlighted by Benjamin Moore’s eye-catching color of the year for 2017. It brings a very strong sense of contemporaneity to the space and it works great in any time of the year.

Together with Shadow 2117-30, the company also shared a palette of 22 colors they recommend pairing with this statement hue, which includes other jewel tones like ruby and emerald.
