Thomas O’Brien
Thomas O’Brien is the founder of Aero Studios, one of the leading company in what concerns interior design. The interior designer is known for taking on modern and transform it into a warm and more livable style. Thomas O’Brien is a big fan of the practical and that is notorious on every single project he embraces: whether it’s a private residence or a commercial property – even his product designs show his practical side. His sense of the modern comes from filtering together elements from different historical origins in combinations that can, at a first sight, seem unlikely – but that you can no longer live without after you are introduced to them.
Showing his most practical side, but setting the biggest interior design trends as well, Thomas O’Brien is the author of the Modern Beach House, marked by wood elements, a summer watercolour palette, natural modern materials and soft and weathered finishes.
Bunny Williams Home
After completing 10 years celebrating amazing interior design in 2018, Bunny Williams Home launched a rug collection. Rugs can transform an entire division, and in what concerns this subtle tool the perfect size and scale are the most important details – even if you’re speaking about an outdoor area: yes, rugs can be used in outdoor areas!
The smaller the room, the bigger the rug – that’s the rule you should always follow, according to Bunny Williams Home. Otherwise, if we’re talking about a larger room, you can have more than one rug, as long as it fits the furniture groups. When there’s less fabric to compete with – as in dining rooms, for example, you can bet on bold, extravagant carpets.
Peter Marino
Peter Marino Architect PLLC is an architecture firm founded in 1978. Widely credited with redefining modern luxury through equal emphasis on architecture and interior design, Marino’s work includes award-winning residential, retail, cultural, and hospitality projects worldwide. Well known for integrating art within his architectural designs, Marino has commissioned more than 300 site-specific works of art.
The Getty Residence, designed by Peter Marino, reunites some of the most coveted 2019 interior design trends: the neon colours, in the chairs, the velvet, the larger rugs, the big open windows, and, of course, the nature elements.
Marmol Radziner
Marmol Radziner was firstly recognized for its award-winning historic restoration of Richard Neutra’s 1946 Kaufmann House in Palm Springs. Additional among their works are restorations of works by Cliff May, Rudolph Schindler, and John Lautner. At the moment they create projects that connect them with the surrounding environments, and that takes a warm, textured approach to modernism that is elegant but also timeless.
Big open spaces: that’s the major trend followed by Marmol Radziner in his in-progress project Quay Tower. How did they make it? Big windows surrounding all the apartment, a neutral palette – with just a small pop of colour. Besides that, Marmol Radziner had also incorporated in the interiors marble – an obligatory element for any one that wants to be in vogue in what concerns interior design trends this year.
Nate Berkus
Nate Berkus, one of the youngest interior designers to get into the ELLE DÉCOR “A-List” of the world’s top designers and to be named to the AD100 list in 2018, is always setting trends! He just joined Jeremiah Brent, his husband, and they created the most stunning collection for living spaces!
What can be trendier than an orange sofa that completes your living room? To that, you join a luxury rug that combines with a one-seat sofa in a neutral palette and you’ll have a larger living room.
Kelly Hoppen
Whether it is the side of the bed you wake up on to who does the cooking in your home or the feel of a texture that exudes elegance on a luxury yacht, meticulous attention to detail creates a completely bespoke design that is both practical and luxurious while emphasising the atmosphere you want to achieve – that’s the main characteristic of the British interior design.
On her latest project, Kelly Hoppen used the neutral palette to enhance the spaces she was working on. The contrast between the black and the different tones of white give a luxury statement to this commercial project in London. Gold accents are also present, but this time only on the bathrrom, providing it a glamorous touch.
Tristan Auer
Tristan Auer’s style is eclectic, near the approach designers of the 20th century. He knows how to navigate between periods, from baroque to contemporary, and do tailor-made as a tailor.
“I like to get carried away in adventures and be close to my clients. The ideal is to ensure that the design and decoration soften their lives.”
In his residential project – Pigalle – Tristan Auer has guided himself through 2019 interior design trends. The colours – with living coral in the bedroom – the patterns – with floral fabrics in the living room – and the mid-century furniture that completes the look.
