In 2019 the London Design Festival will once again host the most important design trade event in the UK. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, 100% Design will take place on four days between the 18th and the 25th of September, welcoming a line-up of more than 400 exhibitors. We have compiled for you a comprehensive guide to this great design trade event.

100% Design is the cornerstone of the London Design Festival. Celebrating its quarter of a century, this year the design trade event promises to be jam-packed with thought-provoking experiences to push the world of design further. While you’re in London, you might want to check out a few interesting places to visit as well!
What is 100% Design?
The 100% Design fair is the flagship event of the London Design Festival. Founded in 1995 and running on an annual cycle, it has since developed into the largest trade event of its kind in the UK and plays a key role in establishing London as one of the design capitals of the world. The show takes place at one of London’s most iconic venues, Olympia London.
No other show combines the world of architecture and design in this way. It is a global platform for world-leading international companies, designers, architects, interior designers, retailers and developers. The fair is always accompanied by an unrivaled talks program, workshops and product presentations.
In 2018, the show was the most exciting destination of the London Design Festival, with striking installations, inspiring collaborations and high-end design as the usual focus, but also bringing a fresh approach to the show with dedication to innovation and emerging talents in a vibrant way.
If you want to attend, know that the fair will be open on the first days to trade visitors only and is accessible on the last day to the general public.

The Exhibitions
Celebrating a quarter century, this year’s show will present a stellar line-up of brands, thought provoking features and the biggest names in design and architecture. The show will be divided into five areas:
Design London – a carefully selected selection of the world’s leading interior brands showcasing the very best in design, detail and craftsmanship. Presented within a distinctive and specially designed are at 100% Design, Design London is the stand out commercial presentation during London Design Festival. Some exhibitors include antoniolupi (Italy), Benchmarck (UK), DelightFULL & Essential Home (Portugal), True North Designs (Denmark).

Interiors – Showcasing the best in contemporary design from around the world, from furniture to lighting to fabrics and accessories, all interior needs are catered for in 100% Design’s longest running and most eagerly anticipated area. Some exhibitors include ALWOOD (Poland), Bakos Brothers (South Africa), Emir Polat Studio (Turkey), FCI London (UK), Foursteel (Portugal).
Design & Build – a dedicated resourcing show for the architectural build and design industry, this is the only event to bring together high-end architecture and interior design, including things such as automation technologies. Some exhibitors include AZTECA (Spain), Carminati Serramenti (Italy), Designer Doorware (Australia), Lazenby (UK).
Emerging Brands – the UK’s strongest platform for newly established design talent. Packed with innovative ideas, it follows 100% Design’s original ethos: launching new talent. Some exhibitors include Alexander Maverick (UK), Bleu Jour (France), Dr. Dublin (Ireland), Etching Print Design (Japan).
Detail London – a brand new destination for the luxury interior design community, it will showcase the latest high-end contemporary soft furnishings and wall coverings by international design companies. This exhibition will benefit from its location at Olympia Room and all of its majestic grandeur as well as its own dedicated entrance on Olympia Way, with direct access to and from 100% Design. Some exhibitors include: 17 Patterns (UK), Barbara Osório (Portugal), Studio DeSimoneWayland (Netherlands).

The Talks
100% Design returns once more for more than 50 in-depth conversations and debates with designers, architects specialists looking at trends and current issues. Curated by Karie Richardson, the talks program will see an increased in issues-based content, exploiting topics such as climate change and sustainability and how design can make a difference.
The auditorium will be sponsored by Aritco and will be a visually striking and thought-provoking backdrop designed by Selencky Parsons addressing issues surrounding plastic usage and waste. Some talks will be African Design, NCS colour trends 2020+, Beyong sustainability: future of waste in design, Design as a living experience.
This fair is without question one of the most stylish event sin the London trade calendar. Welcoming so much international talent and ideas, this is one show you do not want to miss!
