The results are out and yesterday, on December 8th, Pantone announced its awaited decision on the color of the year 2017. So, get ready, because the Pantone color of the year for 2017 is… drumrolls, please… GREENERY!

According to Pantone, “a refreshing and revitalizing shade, Greenery is symbolic of new beginnings”. And we couldn’t agree more. After a year of unfortunate events in multiple subjects concerning our daily lives, what could be a better color of the year, than one that represents hope and fresh starts?
“Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate.” Pantone
“Greenery is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.” Pantone
“This shift is reflected by the proliferation of all things expressive of Greenery in daily lives through urban planning, architecture, lifestyle and design choices globally. A constant on the periphery, Greenery is now being pulled to the forefront”. Pantone
We want to see this color shine throughout the new year, being present in multiple spring projects. And we cannot wait to know how the best interior designers are going to make the protagonist of their projects. We do know this, though: it’s going to be a new year, ready for new adventures and a lot of fresh new starts!
