The California dream house was designed by legendary local architect Mark Singer on two acres of land with panoramic views of the Pacific and had served as a kind of design laboratory for Ryan Murphy. “Set on a stunning plot of land, the Laguna home was always a dream, purchased with my first real money” explained the writer.
Murphy’s living room was decorated by Cliff Fong of Matt Blacke Inc, where the mirrored artwork reflects a mix of mid-century furnishings and the sofa graces the space with its texture.
Ryan Murphy reveals that design has always been a passion, a place to pour anxiety and joy in equal measure. He also confessed that since he was nine years old that one of his favorite hobbies is to transform rooms and states that “I had been doing a sort of annual reimagining at my Laguna Beach home since I bought the place in 2003.”
