100% Design is celebrating its 25th anniversary and here’s everything you need to know!
One of the most important design trade event in UK, 100% Design is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the next month, which means there are even more reasons to attend 100% Design and the London Design Festival from the 18th until the 21st of September. Not only will Essential Home be attending (stand C3A), but there will also be interesting talks and live manufacturing booths for industry professionals to make the most of their experience. It’s the perfect chance to learn even more about design and dive deep in this exciting world.

First appearing in 1994, 100% Design is now celebrating 25 years of successful editions as the commercial cornerstone event of the London Design Festival. From the 18th until the 21st of September, London will be center stage for design professionals across the UK to meet and trade ideas or knowledge, as well as find the best solutions for their latest projects and inspire new designs, new trends.
There is no question whether 2019 is a special year for the design trade show. It marks the quarter of a century this event has been taking place, so a series of special moments and news are being prepared for this year’s edition. According to 100% Design’s organization, this year’s show will present a stellar line-up of brands, thought-provoking features, and the biggest names in the design and architecture industries.

NEW: Detail London
Located within one of Olympia’s lavish Victorian reception rooms, Detail London will showcase the latest high-end contemporary soft furnishings and wall coverings by international design companies.
Design London
A curated exhibition of some of the best contemporary interior specialists for high-end interior designers and industry professionals.
NEW: Underground Volume II
Collaborating with Transport for London (TfL) for a second time, London-based textile design studio Kirkby Designhave created Underground Vol.II, a collection of upholstery velvets which recreate original moquette designs historically used across the TfL network from the 1930s to present day.
NEW: A Sense of Finland
New for this year, 100% Design will showcase ‘A Sense of Finland’ curated by Finnish/English designer Hanna Laikola, founder of HEMLO in collaboration with renowned Nordic brand Tapio Anttila Collection and Polar Life Haus, the long-established eco log house company.
Design Fresh
A celebration of emerging talent selected by 100% Design at New Designers, with a further selection by Barbara Chandler, design editor of Homes & Property at the London Evening Standard.
NEW: The Design Lounge
The Design Lounge is a central feature of the show and includes a showcase of iconic Arper designs within an engaging setting, perfect to unwind, meet and network.
Leading International Brands
With a star line-up of 400+ exhibitors showcasing the latest products across furniture, lighting, textiles, glazing, accessories, and more.
West Kensington Design District
The affluent area of West Kensington Design District, where 100% Design is located, will be brought to life by leading design destinations, cultural institutions, and must-see events.
Talks with 100% Design
To coincide with the show’s 25th edition, Talks with 100% Design returns for more than 50 in-depth conversations and debates with designers, architects and a specialist look at trends and current issues.
NEW: Material Studio
New for 2019: 100% Design is excited to collaborate with Material Driven to create Material Studio, a showcase of 22 innovative materials with a number of them being shown in the UK for the first time.
Live Manufacturing
Experience skilled craftsmen demonstrating live manufacturing during 100% Design. On stand C5B, discover intricate wood carving techniques in the flesh with Jack Badger. Plus, Benchmark return to the show with their skilled craftsmen manufacturing products live on stand B3.
