Another week, another living room inspiration, this time featured in a beautiful mid-century modern home design in sunny California. This interior design signed by Griffin Enright Architects comes from a renovation carried out in a 3,300 square foot residence in Marin County, CA.

The Ross Residence is by itself a breathtaking piece of architecture, being nestled between a stream and a steep hillside above. However, what we here at Living Room Ideas found really amazing about this renovation was the mid-century feeling added to this beautiful modern home.
Ready for some mid-week inspiration? Let’s go!
A new entry made of charcoal concrete board wraps around the foyer and creates a floating bench. The loft-like living space opens up to a new ipe deck that overlooks the stream below.
A great thing about this design is the folded roof splits, that bring clearstory light from the east and create an intimate interior space. In the pictures above we can also see two iconic Wassily Chair in brown leather, that contrast beautifully with the white sofa and glass coffee table and accentuate the mid-century interior design.
The renovation transformed the existing extends and extrudes folded geometries from the existing roof to create a new open living, dining kitchen area with ample wall space for the owner’s art collections.
