Scandinavian design is everywhere these days! And with good reason, because it’s a stunning interior design style that brings out the best of a house’s natural features, keeping it simple and elegant. So, for this week’s living room inspiration, we found ourselves stuck to a beautiful scandinavian living room, or at least, a colorful and fun interpretation of it.

Conceptualized by Ilkin Gurbanov, this Azerbaijan residence is packed with scandinavian influences. We can see how several wooden elements were added to the living room to heighten the nordic style.
This design is an example of the perfect option for a young family’s living room. As per the customer’s wished, the basis for the house’s concept was the English style. However, with the help of a Scandinavian atmosphere, the Ilkingurbanov Studio managed to implement a more modern style.
A great modern influence that helped shape this living room design was the suspension lamp chosen and used by the studio. This specific lighting design is the Duke suspension light by DelightFULL.
Another noticeable fact is the very mid-century inspired color palette used in this project. We can see a lot of strong colors like green, bright red, and a lot of bold patterns in the pillows, for example. We should keep in mind that the mid-century design came from an interpretation of the nordic and scandinavian style.
All allocated space is organized into a compact area, with a sofa from Monterey Ethan Allen, a french table from designer Felix Monge and an armchair Poltrona Frau. We also have a more traditional library area with seating from Anthropologie. There’s a decorative area with a couch, as well as a dining area with English chairs and unique pendant lamps.
