Visiting our favorite tradeshows used to be the best part of our year, something to look forward to, and when we thought we would have to pass on this incredible experience this year, Maison et Objet, one of the leading design fairs in the world, has decided to go digital, and we couldn’t be more excited! Let’s look back at some of previous editions’ best moments and what to expect in this year’s Maison et Objet 2020 Digital Fair edition!

From the 4th to the 18th of September of 2020, Maison et Objet is bringing you an online experience with digital showrooms, design talks and much more! But before we dive in on what you should expect this year, let’s take a look at previous year’s editions, back when it was traditionally held in Paris!
Maison et Objet was the place where all the best furnishing and lighting brands, as well as top interior designers and design lovers in the world, gathered to check out the latest trends (or set new ones!), talk about design, present new collections, establish important relations with clients and partners, and most of all to celebrate design!
At this design fair, you could find anything, from the most extravagant styles to the most classic, from contemporary to mid-century style – and you could definitely find the most luxurious brands in the world, coming together to present their newest collections and products that would be part of next year’s biggest interior design projects.
One of the biggest design brands you can find at Maison et Objet is Essential Home, partnered with sister brand DelightFULL, to showcase the newest mid-century modern furniture and lighting, creating new trends every year and setting the tone for high-quality and luxury at this leading design fair.
When it comes to Essential Home and DelightFULL‘s stand at Maison et Objet, you can always find an intimate ambiance with the latest and most incredible hand-made furniture and lighting pieces in the design world. Every year, you could find an experienced team ready to help you with any questions about the pieces, providing some insight on the trends for the next year, as well as explaining everything about Portuguese craftsmanship and design. These two brands offer its clients to change the color, finish, size, etc, showing customization – as well as high-quality that only Portuguese master artisans can achieve – is no problem for these mid-century modern brands.
Besides the incredible stands you could find at Maison et Objet, there was much more to explore in the halls of this design fair, such as workshops and design talks. This year’s designer of the year is Michael Anastassiades with its emblematic lighting designs that still amazes us every time.

Digital Talks
One of the most expected parts of the design fair, this year Maison et Objet planned expert web talks to continue discussing better design with a more conscious look to the future. The concept of house has changed and so design has to change as well, to serve different purposes, such as a kitchen island working as an home office or being able to have a meal in the home office. This is what will be discussed at this year’s digital talks.
